The Ministry of Labor and Social Economy has committed to the Union of Professionals and Self-Employed Workers (UPTA) to implement the subsidy for self-employed workers over the age of 52 who are forced to close their business.
This was stated by the president of UPTA, Eduardo Abad, after the meeting he had this Friday with the Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, at the ministry’s headquarters. In statements to the media after the meeting, Abad assured that the minister Díaz will carry out this measure “as quickly as possible” which has been claimed by independent worker groups, such as UPTA. “This is very good news,” said Abad and collected Europe Press.
On the other hand, during the meeting, the president of UPTA informed the minister of the need for a reduction in working hours so that independent workers can reconcile without this affecting their competitiveness.
On this subject, according to Abad, the minister mentioned the bonuses and training in time management that the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy offered this Friday to social agents during the meeting to address the reduction of working hours and which is framed in the “SME Plan 375”.
“We are perfectly aligned with what the ministry and what the minister has proposed to us and which, in addition, will allow small independents and small SMEs to be able to fundamentally maintain the loyalty of their workers,” he said. stressed.
On the other hand, during the meeting, the head of Labor also told UPTA that before the end of the year, the working group for the National Strategy for the Promotion of Self-Employment (Endita) will be launched to develop the remaining pending jobs. – salaried workers.
