At the Pechersky Court in kyiv, a preventive measure was taken for a serviceman from the 56th Infantry Brigade, Sergei Gnezdilov, who, in protest, publicly announced in September that he had left his unit without permission. This was reported by the Ukrainian service Radio Liberty.*****.

The day before, Gnezdilov was detained by law enforcement officers and charged with desertion (part 4 of article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Before the meeting, Gnezdilov called for the introduction of clear conditions of service and said he would go on hunger strike if legislation on demobilization was not drawn up. According to him, he is ready to return to service once the document is accepted.
