The Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for Ingushetia opened a criminal case for the attempt on the lives of law enforcement officers after shooting at a car in which police officers preliminarily killed three people, including a police.
“The Second Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Ingushetia opened a criminal case for crimes provided for in Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on the life of law enforcement officers), part 1 of art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal arms trafficking)”, – says a message published on Saturday.
According to the statement, on Friday at 10:00 p.m. in the city of Nazran, in the section adjacent to the “Caucasus” federal highway, “unidentified persons, while in a car, fired multiple shots at a car in the who were employees of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Ingushetia.”
As a result of the attack, according to preliminary data, three people died, including a police officer, the department added.
“Currently, investigators and forensic investigators are carrying out investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The search for the attackers is underway.” – reported the Investigative Commission.
