TikTok will lay off hundreds of moderators around the world and replace them with a neural network.

It should be noted that, overall, the company plans to eliminate more than 700 jobs. The management made this decision because it wants to implement a content moderation system based on artificial intelligence.
“TikTok” has already used this type of technology for moderation. It is reported that 80% of content that violates the platform’s rules is removed by an automated system. Although “TikTok” representatives confirmed the wave of mass layoffs, they did not reveal the reasons.
According to journalists, “TikTok” will soon carry out a new wave of layoffs. At the same time, the company currently employs more than 110,000 people.
