An unprecedented robbery of a freight train took place in Chicago today.

The robbery reportedly took place in South Austin. According to witnesses, at least 12 people robbed the train for about an hour before police arrived.
The railway company “Union Pacific”, commenting on the incident, explained that the train stopped while waiting for the opportunity to continue its movement along the partner company’s track. At that moment, the thieves began to break into the carriages and open the containers.
It should be noted that this is not the first theft of this type in recent months. In August, criminals broke into several freight cars and stole televisions on Chicago’s west side.
