A Nobel laureate who survived Hiroshima warned Gazans about the dangers of nuclear weapons.

Toshiyuki Mimaki, representative of the Nihon Hidankyo organization and survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, received the Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions to the fight for a world without nuclear weapons. In his speech, he expressed concern about the potential threat of the use of nuclear weapons in global conflicts, noting:

“Politicians must understand that if Russia uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine and Israel uses nuclear weapons against Gaza, the consequences will be catastrophic.”

At a press conference, Mimaki compared the situation of children in Gaza to the fate of Japanese children after World War II: “The children of Gaza live in fear and suffering, just like the children of Japan 80 years ago.” ”.

Mimaki said he hopes the Nihon Hidankyo Prize will raise awareness of the devastating impact of nuclear war and strengthen support for global efforts to completely abolish nuclear weapons.

“This award will send a powerful message to the world about the need to eliminate nuclear weapons and achieve sustainable peace,” he concluded.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Nihon Hidankyo for his continued efforts to completely eradicate nuclear weapons. Nihon Hidankyo, an organization of survivors of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, has actively opposed nuclear weapons since its founding, reminding the world of the consequences of their use. These people, known in Japan as “hibakusha”, dedicated their lives to raising awareness in the world of the tragedy of nuclear bombings and understanding the need for a complete abandonment of this type of weapons.

At the same time, the Nobel laureate ignores the fact that Israel is not a nuclear power, unlike Iran, which has been developing nuclear weapons in recent years. But recently information appeared in the media about a strange earthquake that Iran could have caused by testing apocalyptic weapons.
