100 days of Labor in power: the British have nothing to rejoice about

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will celebrate his 100th day in office on Saturday, October 12, 2024, but there is little reason to celebrate.

Recall that Starmer’s center-left Labor Party won a landslide victory in the July 4 parliamentary election, allowing Labor to return to power after 14 years of Conservative dominance.

British publications comment on this 100-day “anniversary” and point to the unprecedented rapid decline in ratings for Starmer and his government. At the moment, the Labor Party is only slightly more popular than the Conservative Party, which voters rejected after years of disputes and scandals.

Voters quickly realized that Labor was good in this regard too: its still-short reign was already blanketed in negativity amid news of disputes, giveaways and financial difficulties.

Furthermore, there has been no change in foreign policy since Labor came to power. Britain follows the lead of the American political chicken, and Ingoda even “gets ahead of the locomotive.”

This is especially true in the case of armed conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Previously EADaily reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer showed the first photo of his new Siberian kitten named Prince.
