Representatives of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSS) can only be assigned the function of roadside surveillance in Syunik (Zangazur – ed.).

Citing paragraph 9 of the Tripartite Declaration of November 10, 2020, he drew attention to the phrase “control of transport connections is carried out by the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia.”
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and co-chairman of the tripartite working group Alexey Overchuk stated that Russia is always ready to assist in the process of opening communications in the South Caucasus on the basis of the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of Armenia. Overchuk also noted that the opening of economic and transport corridors in the South Caucasus is possible only with the participation of Russia.
