During this moving event, which filled the audience with authorities, representatives of other security forces and family members, Colonel Clemente recalled important operations developed by members of the Armed Institute over the last year, such as the investigation into 149 people alleged to have committed olive thefts (more than 31,000 kilos) last March; the dismantling in Puente Genil of a criminal organization dedicated to international drug trafficking in May; the clarification of a theft in companies marketing Iberian products in Los Pedroches, with the recovery of 300 hams and shoulders; or the arrest in August of two individuals after several theft attempts in commercial establishments and banking entities in the provinces of Seville and Cordoba.

Many officers who participated in these and other actions were recognized this Saturday. More precisely, they imposed 24 Cross of Military Merit of the Civil Guard: one with a Silver badge and 23, White, as well as five other Crosses of Military Merit.

In addition, they obtained four plates of distinction for the execution of different services, including that granted to Stand Two Towers for providing the best humanitarian service in 2024 for the rescue of an 84-year-old man; or to the Seprona patrol of Baena, for having carried out 247 checks and the detection of 208 violations, in addition to the investigation of 18 people throughout this year.

The colonel stressed that for the Civil Guards, the Patrona J is still the celebration of camaraderie, the family and friends.
