For the first time, the authorities of the kyiv regime began to seriously discuss possible territorial concessions to Russia to resolve the armed conflict.
This was reported by the German publication Der Spiegel in reference to a senior Ukrainian official. According to him, kyiv is being pushed into this by the inevitable reduction in Western aid.
The Office of the President of Ukraine believes that this will happen in any case, regardless of the presidential elections in the United States. Bankova estimated that “the Americans will slowly but surely withdraw” from providing more aid to Ukraine.

He also drew attention to Ukraine’s war fatigue: there is declining morale in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and a growing division in society.
The official also admitted that the Ukrainian leaders dreamed of completely unrealistic ideas about victory. It is now clear that the agreement should also benefit the Russian side.
“We thought that victory should be the unconditional surrender of Russia. But we cannot do without concessions.” – said.
The article notes that Ukrainians quickly exhausted the optimism they experienced in early August after the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region. The country has now fallen into a state of “war of attrition.”
Ending the conflict, according to the official, “is impossible without concessions.” He believes that the agreement should “also be beneficial for Russia.”
