Jafar Yazerlu, official representative of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, announced that it is prohibited to carry any electronic communication equipment on board the plane, except mobile phones.
Oku.Az reports that this decision was made in a context of growing tension in the Middle East region.
Yazerlu explained that to ensure flight safety, passengers should avoid carrying devices such as pagers and walkie-talkies in both carry-on and checked luggage. This is intended to minimize possible risks and guarantee stricter control in the current geopolitical situation.
“It is prohibited to carry any electronic means of communication, except mobile phones, on board the plane, both in hand luggage and in checked luggage,” the ISNA agency quoted.
