Martín Zubimendi gave Spain the lead in the 79th minute of the match against Denmark on the third day of the Nations League. The Real Sociedad midfielder, replacing the injured Rodri as starter, got the game underway with a superb shot from the edge of the box to make it 1-0 in Murcia.
It was the 79th minute of the match at the Enrique Roca de Murcia and Spain failed to score a goal against Denmark. The Spanish team was much superior to their rival and created chances, some of which were very clear. Morata tried it and Lamine Yamal too. But the goal did not come.

Until a loose ball on the edge of the box was impaled by Zubimendi first and in the air. The ball hit a Danish defender and was poisoned, preventing the rival goalkeeper from doing anything. It was a goal and 1-0 for Spain in Murcia. Something that further praised the great performance of the Real Sociedad midfielder.
Luis de la Fuente opted for Zubimendi as a starter against Denmark, giving him the pivotal stripes after Rodri’s injury. Replacing the Manchester City player is very complicated, but Martín did it wonderfully. His second half in the European Cup final was already brilliant. And against Denmark in the Nations League, he scored a very important goal to give the Spanish team three key points.
