An An-3 aircraft made an emergency landing in the Olekminsky district of Yakutia, killing one person, the press service of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations for the republic told reporters on Sunday.
“One and a half kilometers from the city of Olekminsk, an An-3 plane of the Borus airline made an emergency landing. There were four people on board the plane, one of them died.” – said the press officer.
Five rescuers from the Mi-8 helicopter of the Khabarovsk Aviation Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia are ready to fly to the site of the emergency landing of the plane.
In turn, the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported that, according to preliminary data, the cause of the plane’s emergency landing was the loss of engine thrust, which caused its subsequent breakdown. It is clarified that the plane was flying on the Olekminsk-Zheleznogorsk route. There were three crew members and two passengers on board.
The Yakutia Transport Prosecutor’s Office organized an investigation into the forced landing of the plane.
