The Azerbaijani fighter became champion of the World Series in Croatia

Ramiz Hasanov (80 kg) and Ibrahim Yusubov (90 kg), who represented Azerbaijan at the Beach Wrestling World Series held in Poreč, Croatia, were remembered for a successful performance.

It was reported that R. Hasanov, who performed under the direction of Oyan Nazariani, came second in the world according to the final result. I. Yusubov defended his title and won the title of world champion for the third time.

In group A I. Yusubov beat the Moldovan Trayan Kapatina (3-0), the Ukrainian Nazar Doda (3-0) and the Hungarian Patrik Porquepoeki (3-0). In the semifinals, the athlete who defeated the Ukrainian Oleksey Yakovchuk (3-2) by a minimal margin, faced T. Kapatinayl again in the final. This time Ibrahim won the gold medal in the final stage, beating his opponent (3-1).

R. Hasanov also participated in group A. He defeated the Frenchman Hugo Cueno (2-0), the Georgian Ramaz Zoidze (4-0) and the Serbian Milyan Rajic (3-0) and advanced as the leader of the group to the semifinals. Our compatriot beat Christoforidis Christos in the semifinals by 2:0. The wrestler who lost in the final to the Moldovan Vasile Diakon (0-2) finished the final stage with a silver medal.
