The President of the Balearic Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne (Vox), participated this weekend in the commemorative events of the Columbus Day both in Palm as in Madridwhere he emphasized in both cities that “it is an honor to commemorate the rich history, traditions and values that unite and grow as a nation“.
First of all, Le Senne presided on October 11 in Palma, alongside the general commander of the Balearic Islands, the homage to the flag of Spain. During the event, the leader highlighted the importance of the celebration: “I had the honor of presiding over the tribute to the Spanish flag in Palma, on the occasion of National Day. It’s always a proud to recognize and thank the work of our armed forces for their dedication and inviolable commitment, inside and outside our borders, in favor of the defense of the Nation and the preservation of our values.
Furthermore, the President of the Balearic Chamber highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring the work of the people who make up the Armed Forces: “The dedication and professionalism of our Armed Forces is an example for all. Armed Forces Parade
The next day, October 12, the President of Parliament traveled to Madrid to participate in the Armed Forces parade and attend the official reception of the Kings of Spain at the Royal Palace. During his stay in the capital, Le Senne expressed his satisfaction with this day and its precious significance: “It is a honor to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day and commemorate the rich history, traditions and values that unite and broaden us as a nation.
The Senne also highlighted “the importance of Hispanic Heritage Day and the Virgin of the Pillar as recognition of our Christian roots and the union of cultures born from the meeting between Spain and America. “We commemorate a common heritage, rooted in Christian humanism, which goes beyond history and is reflected in shared language, traditions and values. “It is a day to be proud of our common identity and the ties that unite us to the Hispanic world.”
The President of Parliament concluded his participation in the events with a message of recognition of the work of the Armed Forces and a thank you to all citizens who celebrate National Day, emphasizing “the importance of keeping alive the values that have forged history of Spain”.
