Actor, Oscar and Golden Globe winner, as well as leader of the group Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto, admitted at a concert in Serbia that he misses listeners from Russia. Residents of Ukraine flooded the artist’s social media account with angry comments.
At a concert in Belgrade, the actor asked the people of Serbia to respond first and then those of Russia. Judging by the sound, there were a lot more Russians at the Thirty Seconds to Mars concert.
“Guys, we miss you. One day, when all troubles are over, we will reach your homeland. Let’s go back to Serbia, let’s get to St. Petersburg, let’s go through Moscow and let’s go through kyiv. Let us illuminate it together with everyone as it should be.” – said the star of the movie “Requiem for a Dream.”
This speech caused an incredible amount of angry comments from the artist’s Ukrainian subscribers.
“Never come to Ukraine if you think we just have “problems” and want to visit Moscow. You are not welcome here”, “Completely disappointed and shocked by your position”, “Problems” in Ukraine? Are you visiting Moscow? After this, you are an unwanted guest in kyiv”, “What a shame”, “I liked you a lot. Now you have sunk to the level of a petty Russian fan”, “We will never attend your concert again”. – Ukrainians are outraged.
