Hezbollah drone attack kills four Israeli soldiers south of Haifa

Hezbollah threatens Israel with new attacks if it continues its offensive in Lebanon

Lebanese Hezbollah on Monday threatened Israel with new attacks if it continues its offensive in Lebanon, after a drone strike targeting a military position in Haifa killed at least four Israeli soldiers.

In a statement, Hezbollah said that “the resistance […] promise to the enemy » that the attack “South Haifa is just a sample of what awaits you if you decide to continue your attacks against our people”.

On Sunday afternoon, Hezbollah claimed that its fighters had launched “a squad of explosive drones at a Golani brigade training camp in Binyamina, south of Haifa”dedicating this attack to its leader Hassan Nasrallah, killed on September 27 in an Israeli attack near Beirut.

The attack, which the Israeli military said killed four soldiers and seriously wounded seven others near Israel’s main northern city, was the deadliest in Israel since the country went into open war against Hezbollah on September 23.

In its press release on Monday, Hezbollah welcomes a “complex operation”. He explained that he had simultaneously launched dozens of missiles against various targets in the Nahariya and Acre regions with the aim of “distract Israeli air defense systems”.

Some drones, some of which have been used. “for the first time”They rushed towards different sectors of Acre and Haifa and “managed to avoid air defense radars and reach its target at a Golani brigade training field”depending on the movement.

The drones have “exploded in rooms where dozens of enemy Israeli officers and soldiers were preparing to participate in the attack on Lebanon”adds Hezbollah.

Hezbollah indicated on Sunday afternoon that this attack was a “Response to Zionist attacks, particularly in the neighborhoods of Noueiri and Basta” in the heart of Beirut, where at least 22 people were killed on Thursday, as well as in “other Lebanese regions”where more than 1,300 people have been killed since the start of the Israeli mass attack campaign on September 23.

Hezbollah has regularly fired rockets and drones at Israel for more than a year, but is now aiming deeper since the conflict escalated last month.

On October 11, air alert sirens sounded in central Israel after the entry of two drones from Lebanon. At least one building north of Tel Aviv was damaged in the incident.
