La Moncloa no longer denies the meetings of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, with the businessman and partner of Begoña Gómez, Juan Carlos Barrabés, in the presidential complex. These meetings were revealed by Barrabés during his appearance before the judge of Begoña affairJuan Carlos Peinado.
This is clear from the written response of the Executive of the Congress of Deputies to a battery of questions recorded by the Popular Parliamentary Group.
Without specifically referring to these meetings, the government explains that Sánchez “maintains a work program that includes regular meetings with businessmen, social agents, institutions and various key players in society, within the framework of their institutional responsibilities.
“These meetings are part of the necessary work of dialogue and consultation to meet the challenges facing our countryas well as promoting economic and social development for the benefit of all citizens,” says Moncloa.
