What is the CIPA number?

CIPA is used, for example, when requesting drugs or you access the electronic medical record. Since health management is the responsibility of each autonomous community, CIPA in each community presents a different aspect. In some cases it is composed only of numbers, but in others it is also combined with letters.
How do I find out my CIPA code?
It is worth familiarizing yourself with the CIPA code and, above all, knowing where to find it.. One of the simplest and most direct ways to find out your CIPA is to look it up on your health card.. In it it is presented clearly and visibly.
Of course, it is essential that you learn to distinguish it from other codes that may seem similar, like Social Security Number. The CIPA is generally located in a conspicuous place, but separate from other numbers such as Social Security.
Your “health identifier” is on the front of the health card of each autonomous community. Depending on the age of the card, the CIPA may appear in the top right or center.
