Madrid City Hall has processed, from April 26 to today, eleven sanctions to the promoters of different concerts organized at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium for exceeding the decibels established by municipal regulations, with fines that have so far reached a total of 801,000 euros. The fines currently imposed range from 17,000 euros to 148,000 euros.
As reported by the Department of Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility, the sanctions, as provided for in the Protection Ordinance against Acoustic and Thermal Pollution, range from 600 to 300,000 euros. The sanctions aren classified very serious by not complying with article 59.3 bis (exceeding the limits of maximum authorized sound levels by more than 7 dBA at night or 10 during the day or evening).
From the area they indicated that Madrid City Hall has been “at all times diligent” in respecting the regulations and the requirement of Real Madrid to take all the necessary corrective measures to minimize the inconvenience caused by the concerts.
The club’s proposal
For its part, Real Madrid confirmed that it had decided to “provisionally” reschedule its calendar of events and concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium until it improves “the precise conditions of production and emission of sound” which allow musical events without affecting the neighborhood. .
In a statement, Real Madrid stressed that this decision is part of a set of measures that the club has taken “so that during concerts strict compliance with regulations is verified current municipal“.
