India expels six Canadian diplomats

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has decided to expel six Canadian diplomats from the country.

Oku.Az It informs that the institution published information in this regard on its official website.

The list reportedly includes acting ambassador Stuart Ross Wheeler, as well as his deputy and four first secretaries.

They were asked to leave India by 11:59 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

In response, the Canadian government also decided to expel six Indian diplomats from the country.

It may be noted that earlier India announced the withdrawal of its ambassador to Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, and some other diplomats due to security concerns. The Canadian side claims that Indian diplomats were involved in a plot to kill one of the leaders of the “Sikh” community in Ottawa.
