The Civil Guard of Valencia arrested a gang of nine minersincluding one aged only 12 years, for numerous crimes of theft with violence and intimidation perpetrated in the municipalities of Sedaví, Alfafar, Catarroja and Massanassa, who moved around at dawn uttering threats and attacks against all those who they encountered on their way. The procedure was transmitted to the juvenile prosecutor’s office.
It all started with the celebration of the patronal festivals of the aforementioned Valencian villages, where They played at dawn in remote locations without witnesses to commit thefts using coercive language to intimidate their victims, especially those riding electric scooters.
In some cases, they acted quickly enough to repeatedly use a bank card stolen during one of the heists, in order to extract as much profit as possible from their victims. During another of the detected events, the victim and his companions became assaulted by up to 10 minors due to the resistance offered to theft. The victim had refused to hand over a chain that he wore around his neck and which was ultimately stolen during the attack.
After several weeks of investigation and actions carried out by patrols of the Local Police of the municipalities and the Civil Guard, it was possible to identify and locate the group of minors involved in the events, to whom it was possible to attribute the commission of up to five crimes of theft with violence or intimidation.
Last mid-September, up to six minors were arrested, all aged between 14 and 17. Later, as the investigations continued, a seventh minor involved in the events was included in the file, and it was also possible to identify another, a under 12 years oldwho is devoid of any criminal liability.
At the same time, a second phase of the investigation took place where, in collaboration with elements of the local police of Alfafar and of Massanassait was possible to demonstrate the involvement of part of the members of the group of minors in the commission of five thefts with force and four crimes of damage, committed between these municipal mandates, of which a large part of the effects were recovered (scooter electric, laptop, wireless speaker and two sets of wireless headphones) and have already been delivered to their owners.
