Congress rejects the PP maneuver in the Senate and sends to the BOE the law that benefits ETA prisoners

The Congress of Deputies approved the law on criminal records which will allow the early release of certain ETA members from prison and will not vote on it again as requested this Monday by the Senate, which considered that the rejection by absolute majority of the Upper House of the text This amounted to a veto.

The Congressional Council made this decision after hearing the legal services of the Chamber, as reported by parliamentary sources, who added that the regulation would be sent to the Official State Gazette (BOE) for publication.

The President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, announced this Monday after the plenary vote against the aforementioned law that he had understood this rejection by absolute majority as a veto and that it had therefore been sent back to Congress, a decision supported by a report from the lawyers of the upper house.
