“We are excluding absolutely nothing. Our votes cannot in any way be taken for granted and I believe that the government is now beginning to understand this”, declared the Junts leader in an interview with Telecinco’s “La Mirada Critica”, collected by Europa Press, when we asked him if Junts would support a possible motion of censure from the PP.
Borràs maintained that those of Carles Puigdemont will “enforce” their deputies in Congress so that the agreements signed with the Government are respected, although “without excluding any other scenario”. Of course, for the moment they are focusing “on respecting the agreements” signed with the PSOE.
Junts works “for Catalonia”
After declaring that her party is not working so that there is in Spain “a government of Pedro Sánchez or a government of the Popular Party”, the president of Junts reiterated that her party is working “for Catalonia” and that she seeks to achieve “the agreements we reach”, such as increasing the community’s deficit margin or granting it an economic agreement.
Thus, he criticized the government’s lack of commitment to general state budgets in Catalonia, saying that “he who governs governs” the “minimum required percentages” in the community are never achieved. “We are no longer talking about 100% compliance or even 90%. Junts’ statements provoked reactions from the opposition and the rest of the political parties. The president of the Community of Madrid limited herself to emphasizing that “she would not go anywhere with those who despise Spain because they are not trustworthy.”
Vox added to the distrust, saying she doesn’t believe they will provide support unless it’s in exchange for something.
