Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and director of the IDEA Public Trade Union on September 1 Leyla Aliyeva and IDEA volunteers participated in a clean-up action.
AZERTAC reports that the action held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” was organized on the shore of the lake located in Kurdakhani. During the march, the participants of the action, equipped with the necessary medical supplies, cleaned the area of a large amount of waste, especially plastic, which causes permanent damage.
The main goal of the event is to promote the observance of environmental cleanliness by society, prevent the pollution of areas with a special role in the country’s biodiversity with household waste, and attract people to make efforts to protect nature.
It should be noted that in order to protect the unique biodiversity of the Caspian Sea and other water bodies of the Caucasus region, IDEA organizes regular measures aimed at cleaning and restoring polluted coastal areas.
