Raisi helicopter crash: final results of investigation are known

Iran has completed an investigation into the crash of a helicopter carrying the country’s President Ibrahim Raisi. The Iranian Army General Staff has released the results of the final investigation into the plane crash that occurred on May 19.

According to the report, Tehran has completely ruled out the possibility that the helicopter was shot down by any kind of weapon, including electronic warfare or lasers. Suggestions about Israeli involvement in the incident were also rejected.

The document states that the main cause of the accident was the difficult weather conditions typical of the spring period. In particular, the sudden formation of a dense fog during the ascent caused a collision between the helicopter and the mountain.

The investigation also showed that the helicopter was in perfect technical condition and that all necessary repairs were carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with the regulations. The pilots followed the indicated route without deviating from it. In addition, during the examination no traces of psychotropic substances or poisons were found on the bodies of the victims.

Iranian authorities have therefore concluded that the tragedy was caused solely by unfavourable weather conditions and not by external interference or technical failures.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that Iran had declared its readiness for “Israeli aggression.” Iran’s air defense commander noted that the country is “closely monitoring” the activities of Israeli troops.
