A graduate in political science and administration and specialist in Spanish public policies from the Complutense University of Madrid, Núñez has been affiliated with the PP since 2001 and served in Nuevas Generaciones as secretary general of the local council of Almansa, national secretary of studies and programs. and national executive secretary and regional president of Castile-La Mancha of the popular youth organization. He was also president of the PP of Albacete (2013-2018) before being president of the PP of Castile-La Mancha.
From councilor and mayor to regional politics
He began his political career in municipal life, after having been finance and personnel advisor to the town hall of Almansa in 2008 and mayor of this town of Albacete from 2011 to 2018, where he obtained the absolute majority during his second term.
He was also president of the Provincial Council of Albacete (2011-2015), the second youngest president in history after Mariano Rajoy. Between 2015 and 2019 he was regional deputy for Albacete and currently chairs the Popular Parliamentary Group of Cortes de Castilla-La Mancha.
