The Balearic PP calls for criminal proceedings against former socialist councilor Patricia Gómez, head of Health in Francina Armengol’s government, after hiding her contacts with Koldo during the commission of inquiry held in Parliament.

During his appearance on May 24, Gómez hid from the parliamentary commission of inquiry after speaking with the former advisor to the former Minister José Luis Abalos to purchase medical supplies during the pandemic. He denied it twice, questioned by popular deputy José Luis Mateo.
“Can you tell us if you maintained telephone or message contact or any other type of contact with any of the people allegedly involved in the alleged corruption plot to buy masks?” Mateo asked. to which the socialist deputy replied “no, never”. .
“I repeat to you: did you maintain telephone or message contact with Mr. Koldo García, Mateo insisted?” “I can tell you no,” Gómez said flatly.
The UCO report denies this. Subsequently, Eurofins Megalab won at least two contracts with the Health Service of the Balearic Islands for a total amount of 1,112,640.00 euros for the performance of Covid-19 diagnostic tests on Balearic residents returning to the Islands by air from the Peninsula. Both contracts were awarded using the negotiated procedure without publicity.
