“Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were held under objective conditions.”
This was stated by Sergey Markov, a Russian political scientist and director of the Center for Political Research, who observed the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, to “Report”.
He said he did not see any negative situation: “Of course, the voter turnout was not the same as in the presidential elections. But this is understandable. The reasons are known.”
The political scientist also congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the first parliamentary elections in Karabakh: “This is an important historical event. By the way, let me tell you that my job is not to predict the outcome of the elections. But I believe that the new parliament will justify the trust.”
