The Absheron department of the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture said they still have no information about the slaughter of camels. Perhaps camels are slaughtered on private farms.
The Food Safety Agency noted that the slaughter of large and small horned animals should be carried out in animal slaughterhouses that comply with veterinary and hygienic standards and have veterinary and sanitary experience. Entrepreneurs must present a health certificate for that animal at the time of slaughter.
