600 or 900 euros? This is the ceiling of the amount to access the Young Rental Bonus according to the municipality of Andalusia.

The new call for assistance with monthly housing rent by young people, the Young Rental Bonusapproved by the state government and announced this week, will once again benefit thousands of Spaniards and Andalusians that they were struggling to make ends meet in a situation like the current one where the cost of living has increased and the price of housing has also increased.

This aid, which results in 250 euros per month for two years for their beneficiaries, they will again be executed from the different autonomous communities, which are those that have the power to do so. Andalusia will receive 34 million euros from the State which must be used in 2025. Likewise, the Ministry of Housing has proposed to the authorities to add their own funds to complete said contribution and thus reach a greater number of beneficiaries.

Anyway, there is a series of requirements which must be met to be able to access this Government assistance. The first is obviously age. The bonus is intended for young people between 18 and 35 years old. In addition, they must prove that they have professional income, but that this is less than three times the IPREM per year (four in the case of non-isolated families or cohabitation units).

What accommodation is compatible with aid?

In addition to the beneficiary conditions, the accommodation in question must also meet certain standards for the granting of the Young Rental Bonus, and which may allow potential adult candidates to receive this assistance outside of it. This is the amount of monthly rent. This, in general terms, cannot exceed 600 euros in the case of a complete apartment, not even 300 if the rental concerns a room.

However, taking into account the specific characteristics of the bonus in Andalusia, and as established by its possibilities at the national level, the limit is different for the 45 municipalities located in groups 1, 2 and 3 of Annex V of Decree 91. / 2020, from June 30 of the Junta de Andalucía, among which is Seville. For these locations, This ceiling amount is extended to 900 euros for the complete house and 380 for the bedroom. Something important given the significant increase that has occurred in recent years in terms of rents that landlords charge tenants.

Indeed, taking as an example the properties currently offered for rent in Seville In one of the most popular housing portals in our country, Idealista, we found only 16 that do not exceed 600 euros, while these amount to 450 with rents up to 900 euros, as well as around 550 rooms to rent in shared accommodation within the parameters collected by the bonus.
