He claims that “he is a thief” who “stole even the locks”

The Minister of Interior and Justice of Venezuela, Diosdado Hairindicted this Wednesday against the King Emeritus, Juan Carlos Iwhich he described “thief”ensuring that “he even stole the locks”.

“The King of Spain, this wanderer who He flees across the world like a thiefbecause even the door locks were stolen. King Juan Carlos (…) I tried to tell the commander [Hugo Chávez] why don’t you shut up“Cabello said in his weekly show ‘Con el Mazo give’, broadcast on the national channel VTV.

The Venezuelan minister was referring to the moment when, on November 10, 2007, King Juan Carlos ordered to silence then-president Chávez for his repeated interruptions during the XVII Ibero-American Summit to the former Spanish president, José Luis Rodriguez Zapateroduring his speech.

Additionally, Cabello said that a king, at this point, is “stupid” and “one of the most horrible setbacks there can be in life,” without refuting his claims. “What is a king for? (…) Where does this king come from? From Franco’s fascism comes this so-called self-proclaimed king. These are the ones who accept it. Not here, we don’t accept kings from anyone,” he said.

On October 12, Indigenous Resistance Day, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduroreiterated that Spain ‘should ask for forgiveness every day’ for the “genocide” that he committed – he insists – in the 15th century against the American peoples, including those of Venezuela.

The Parliament, controlled by Chavismo, urged the Spanish government on October 8 to abolish the monarchyconsidering it an institution linked to corruption and an “expression of the extreme right”, and urged Maduro to sever diplomatic, consular and commercial relations with our country. For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, demanded that Venezuela respect Spanish institutions, when asked about the agreement approved by the Venezuelan Parliament.
