War in Lebanon: Hezbollah terrorists make new statement

The representative of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the Lebanese parliament, Hassan Fadlallah, called today at a press conference for a ceasefire.

“We are in a new phase of the war and we demand a ceasefire,” although “Hezbollah is ready to continue the fight at all costs,” Fadlallah said.

Fadlallah noted that Hezbollah’s leadership is actively cooperating with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who is an ally of the party, in their efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Regarding the fighting in the country, he added that the Israeli army “has not been able to capture a single Lebanese village, despite rumors spread in various sources and on social networks.” At the same time, the media published photographs showing the raising of the Israeli flag in the city of Aita al-Shaab, located in southern Lebanon.

Previously, Cursor wrote that experts note that the current conflict in northern Israel with Hezbollah is in many ways reminiscent of the Second Lebanon War of 2006. The prolonged fighting then ended in a draw and became a model for future clashes with Hamas.

The conflict, which began with a large-scale air operation and the IDF invasion of Lebanon, dragged on and regular rocket attacks on Israeli territories continued almost until the end of hostilities.

Additionally, Cursor has already reported that former head of Israeli military intelligence, Brigadier General Tamir Himan, warns that Israel may face a strategic mistake during the current confrontation with Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists.

In his opinion, despite the IDF’s important successes on the front, the most risky scenario is the prolongation of the war and the absence of a clear plan to overcome the current situation.
