The latter revealed that the structural damage is being “assessed, inventoried and analyzed” to see if it is possible to consider the possibility of requesting a declaration of a catastrophic area.

“It was a very strong storm and we had the misfortune of having the epicenter here,” explained David Esteban, who described the episode as “very hard” despite the “short period of time” in which it occurred, “not only because of that flow of water in such a short time but also because of the extremely strong gusts of wind, which even exceeded 100 kilometers per hour.”

Despite this, he acknowledged that “little by little” the situation is being overcome and thanked the officials and workers of the municipality, “who were at the foot of the canyon”, for the work done to achieve this, as well as his government team, the State Security Forces and Corps and the team of the fire extinguishing service of the Provincial Council of Valladolid who participated in the civil protection work.
