The Romanian Minister of National Defense, Ancel Tilver, signed a letter of intent within the framework of the meeting of heads of military administrations of NATO member countries held in Brussels on the creation of a military mobility corridor between Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
Oku.Az reports that the country’s Ministry of Defense has published information in this regard.
“In the context of an increasingly complex global security situation, there is an urgent need to simplify and harmonize logistical processes for the effective deployment of armed forces in the region,” the report emphasizes.
It should be noted that the signed letter of intent provides for the creation of a coordinated network of main supply routes between the three countries that will guarantee the rapid and reliable delivery of troops, equipment and military materials.
“Military mobility is an emblematic project of cooperation between NATO and the EU and constitutes the main element of a reliable deterrence and defense position in the Black Sea region,” said the head of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
