Kamala Harris, US vice president and Democratic presidential candidate, issued a warning against Israel. He discussed with journalists the letter from the Joe Biden administration, addressed to the government of Israel.
The message emphasized that further military assistance would depend on resolving the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Harris said the letter “speaks for itself.” When asked what action the United States would take if our country did not meet this demand, he responded: “We will do it step by step if necessary.”
It is known that following threats from the Biden administration, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue of increasing humanitarian aid to residents of the Gaza Strip.
Previously, Cursor wrote that US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin sent a warning letter to Israel this week. Emphasizes that the continued security of US assistance may be in doubt if significant steps are not taken within 30 days to improve the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Kursor has already reported that the White House warned Israel about the possibility of imposing an arms embargo if American demands to change tactics regarding Gaza are not met. Administration spokesman John Kirby said the letter sent to Israeli leaders is a warning and contains an urgent request to ease the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
Kirby emphasized that this was not a threat and expressed hope that such a signal would not need to be repeated.
