The parties that received the highest number of votes in the elections in the eastern German states can add a clause to the coalition agreement prohibiting the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Spiegel reported.
According to the publication, the coalition could be formed by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), which won in Saxony and came second in Thuringia, and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) of the German Chancellor.
