Two children and two adults died in an accident in the Amur region

Four people were victims of an accident in the Amur region, where a car and a truck with fireworks collided, the press service of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry reports.

First, the bodies of three people were found in the Toyota Prius: a woman and two children, ages 8 and 11. When specialists began to dismantle the burned cars, they found another victim, whose identity has not yet been established.

The regional directorate of the Ministry of the Interior stated that, preliminarily, the cause of the accident was “not giving priority when exiting a secondary road.” The department later clarified to RIA Novosti that the accident was caused by a woman driving a car.

The accident occurred on October 17 at 1,476 km from the Chita-Khabarovsk highway. As a result, the driver of the heavy truck was injured and sent to the hospital. After this, local and federal Telegram channels began sharing images of pyrotechnic explosions carried by the truck. According to the SHOT telegram channel, the accident occurred near a gas station, but firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the gas station.
