Through a video that she recorded a few hours later, this Friday afternoon, the advisor publicly acknowledged that her comments were unfortunate, that she had not expressed herself correctly: “I am really sorry that my comments lacked this empathy, this sensitivity that we have.” that we are all looking for in these difficult times we live in. It is for this reason that I can only reiterate my forgiveness if I have expressed myself in a way that was not my intention.

“I went to Feria Valencia to help operate the Military Emergency Unit (UME), an operation responsible for guarding the victims of this DANA,” explains Nuria Montes in her apology video. “The UME commander expressed his concern to me” about a possible mass arrival of relatives looking for their missing loved ones. “This is why we sent a message with the sole objective that the protocol was executed with the greatest rigor and that security was guaranteed,” explains the advisor, who recognizes that said message was transmitted in a completely inappropriate manner, with the words “lack of that empathy and sensitivity that we are all looking for in these difficult times that we live in.”

“I want to apologize to all of you, I share the uncertainty we are going through and, of course, I also suffer from the pain that we all have who have lost a family member or friend in this tragedy, ” he said in this apology video after the indignation caused by the comments he made a few hours earlier, this Friday morning.
