French President Emmanuel Macron offered assistance to Warsaw to protect the republic’s border with Belarus. This was announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on October 17 following the results of the first day of the EU summit.
“I also received proposals from EU countries. At the last moment, just before the end of the meeting, the French president asked if he should come and observe this border, if France could help in some way. – he said at a press conference.
Let us remember that in 2021 the migration crisis began on the border between Belarus and the EU countries. Poland refuses to take in refugees. Furthermore, Warsaw has decided to build a line of fortifications on its border with Belarus and is demanding money from the EU for this.
