An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 has been recorded in Kamchatka. The relevant information was published on the website of the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
It should be noted that the seismic event was recorded at a depth of 42 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 117 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Earlier, on August 30, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was also recorded in the region. The source was located at a depth of 27 km. The earthquake was felt in the urban districts of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsky and in the Elizovsky district.
