Alonso’s pessimistic reflection on Aston Martin’s improvements: ‘Expectations don’t…’

He United States Grand Prix arrives at Formula 1 to end more than three weeks of interruption. The sensations of Fernando Alonso in the last race they were very good in terms of performance and very bad in terms of running the race. Aston Martin.

The British team’s car was one of the poorest in terms of performance and even so, Alonso he managed to score points by ignoring the car’s limitations. Despite this, after the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grand Prix, Aston Martin announced improvements after the break but, according to Fernando, it does not seem that will cause a lot of changes.

“I don’t think expectations can be too high. We have new partsbut I don’t think it changes the situation at this stage of the championship. Now all improvements are quite smallconsistent with what is expected of the 2025 car in the tunnel. SO It’s more like half proofhalf introduction to performance”, admits Fernando on ‘DAZN’.

Austin arrives as one of the most demanding grands prix of the year, at the usual race, the race to the ‘sprint’. Alonso believes that this will complicate everything a little more: “Sprint weekends are obviously a bit more difficult because you can’t really optimize things and especially when you bring in new parts you only have that opportunity in FP1.

“It’s more involved so it will be important to start with the good feeling and confidence in the car. East very difficultalso understand the tires, but the same for everyone. So you know maybe you’re not 100% but no one will be and you come with more strangers on the run“, concludes Fernando.
