Zakharova accused him of “cannibalism,” citing a historical event that occurred in 1672 in the Netherlands when she said a mob killed and partially ate the prime minister and his brother. Zakharova called these “liberal traditions” and noted that, in her opinion, the cannibalistic traits of Western culture persist to this day, which is reflected in Rutte’s reaction to Sinvar’s elimination. However, he did not explain the connection of these historical events with NATO’s position in modern times.
