Real Madrid beat Betis in the final match of matchday 4 at the Santiago Bernabéu by 2-0.
Oku.Az reports that although there were 15 shots between the two teams (Real – 10, Betis – 5) in the first half, they were unable to score any goals.
Midway through the second half, Los Blancos took the lead again. Kylian Mbappé took advantage of a great pass from Federico Valverde to score his first goal in the Spanish championship.
Eight minutes later, Mbappé completed the penalty and scored his double. Despite all of Betis’ efforts, Thibaut Courtois was unable to score a goal.
Real Madrid have moved up to second place in the league, four points behind Barcelona. Betis, who were recently eliminated by Krivbass in the qualifying round of the Conference League, are currently 17th in the Spanish league.
In the next round, Los Blancos will face Real Sociedad away from home on September 14 and Betis will be invited by Leganés on September 13.
