The Junta de Castilla-La Mancha will activate this Monday at 11 p.m. the Specific Risk Plan for Adversive Meteorological Phenomena (Meteocam), in alert phase, for the province of Albacete.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) gave the orange warning for heavy rainwith accumulated precipitation of 30 millimeters in one hour and 80 in twelve hours in the Albacete region of Alcaraz and Segura. In addition, yellow level warnings are planned for rain and storms in the rest of the province of Albacete and throughout the province of Cuenca, according to the emergency service 112 in a statement.

With the activation of Météocam, the town halls and intervention groups concerned have also been informed so that they can establish the prevention, surveillance and response measures that they consider appropriate in the face of this situation.

Both the evolution of Aemet’s risk forecasts and the incidents that occur and their possible consequences will be evaluated by Météocam management to adapt the level of response. For now, Aemet anticipates that this episode of rains and storms begin at midnight and continue throughout Tuesday.
