A 91-year-old man died and two other people, aged 84 and 61, were injured after the attack of a deer recorded in the afternoon of this Thursday, October 17 on a farm in the Granada town of Castril, according to the Emergency Coordination Center (Cecem112).
The Health Emergency Center 061 called 112 around 7:15 p.m. to activate security forces at a farm located on the GR-9105 highway. between Almontaras and Los Cortijillos, dwhere a death occurred.
Immediately afterwards, the coordination room immediately activated the Civil Guard, who went to the scene with Seprona agents.
According to Armed Institute sources, a deer had entered private property and attacked three people, leading to the death of a 91-year-old man who was in his farm paddock when the animal surprised him. The deceased’s 84-year-old wife and 61-year-old son, who shot the deer with a hunting rifle, were also injured in the attack. Finally, the two injured were evacuated by the health services to Baza hospital.
