The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Ankara is in any case related to the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Therefore, it was proposed to discuss these issues comprehensively at the meeting and encourage participating countries to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
He also noted that previously Russia and Iran helped start the negotiation process between Armenia and Türkiye, but currently the meetings are not yet planned.
“Our Armenian colleagues have taken a break. They believe that now it is necessary to communicate directly with the Turkish side and understand what needs to be done,” said S. Lavrov.
