Careless handling of gasoline in Lerik caused burns to a 2-year-old boy and injured his father and mother.
According to APA, the incident took place in the village of Shinaband, which is part of the territorial unit of the village of Blaband in the Lerik region.
Village resident Rufat Guloglan oghlu Abbasov, born in 1987, used gasoline to run the wood stove in his home.
At that moment, the flame coming out of the furnace fell on the nearby child, VRAbbasli, born in 2022.
The boy’s mother, Afiga Ibrahim gizi Gasimova, born in 1989, immediately tried to remove his clothes. At that time, the mother suffered 1st and 2nd degree thermal burns on both hands.
The 2-year-old boy was immediately hospitalized at the emergency department of Lankaran District Central Hospital and after first aid, he was admitted to the intensive care unit based on his condition.
Doctors currently consider the child’s condition to be serious. He was diagnosed with thermal burns on 90% of his body. Father R. Abbasov was transferred to the Lerik district central hospital.
The incident is being investigated.
