Applications have already been accepted. In terms of exterior and interior, the Santa Fe, produced by the Chinese joint venture Beijing-Hyundai, does not differ from the global model. But the technology is original: the new model is equipped with a classic turbo engine.
The global Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with either a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, or a turbo engine of the same volume as an 8-speed Presqiv “robot”. However, in China, taxes are calculated based on engine displacement, so it was decided to use a 2.0-liter turbo engine. The four-speed turbo “G4NN” produces 247 hp and 353 Nm of torque, the drive is transmitted through an 8-speed gearbox with a hydrotransformer.
