“No dedicated bus lanes, bike lanes or other lanes will be canceled after COP29.”
This was stated in his statement to “Qafqazinfo” by Tarlan Safarov, head of the Baku regional office of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).
“For COP29 operational activities, certain lanes have been arranged that have COP29 logos. Those logos will be removed after the event. They will now function as traffic lanes. The logos will be replaced with broken lines. Some of those lanes are planned to include them in the general lane network,” he stated.
It should be noted that 89 kilometers of special lanes have already been organized on 31 streets and avenues of Baku. The buses circulate about 68,000 times a day on these lanes organized in different areas and transport more than 900,000 passengers.
